Amethyst Mermaid Beach Mug - 13 oz.
The mug was created from a white porcelaneous stoneware clay, fired to cone 6 oxidation. This mug features a delicately carved fishscale pattern along with sculpted shells and sea life. Mug is also has been decorated with mother of pearl and 14K gold luster.
Mug holds about 14 ounces comfortably.
All clay and glazes that I use are lead-free and food safe.
This mug is not microwave safe due to the presence of metallic lusters. This mug is also hand-wash only, as there are abrasives in dishwashing detergent that can slowly dull the glazed surface over time.
As with all of my pieces, I recommend pre-warming them under the warm water tap before pouring any hot liquids into them. This practice lessens the thermal stress on the handmade piece, thus ensuring longevity.
