Regal Droplet Mermaid Mug - 16 oz.
This decadent mug was created from a white porcelaneous stoneware clay, fired to cone 6 oxidation. This mug features a delicately carved fishscale pattern and is adorned with freely moving gold luster droplets. (Please see note at bottom.)
Mug holds about 16 ounces comfortably.
All clay and glazes that I use are lead-free and food safe.
This mug is not microwave safe due to the presence of metallic lusters and wire. This mug is also hand-wash only - there are there are abrasives in dishwashing detergent that can slowly dull the glazed surface over time and the droplets are fragile and should be handled gently when cleaning.
As with all of my pieces, I recommend pre-warming them under the warm water tap before pouring any hot liquids into them. This practice lessens the thermal stress on the handmade piece, thus ensuring longevity.
